Soleta Golf Club

Project Name: Soleta Golf Club

Location: 33720 Singletary Road, Myakka City, Florida 34251

Project Type: Golf Course & Residential Development

Synopsis: During the groundbreaking of Soletas’ new golf course and residential development in Florida, a fire pump was required to support the project’s fire protection system. This development marks a new chapter for the community, combining championship-quality greens with modern residential homes, while ensuring that life safety systems are properly designed and implemented from the outset. Due to the remote location of the site, the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) required a dedicated fire pump, as emergency response times from the nearest municipal fire department were insufficient for adequate fire protection.

Details: Located in the heart of South Central Florida, Soleta represents a significant growth opportunity for the region. While the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) required a permanent fire protection solution for the development, a mobile fire pump trailer was deployed during the construction phase to meet life safety requirements. This mobile fire pump, supplied from a dedicated water tank, was capable of maintaining full flow to the project’s fire hydrants in the event of an emergency, providing the one-hour run time specified by the local fire marshal.

Solution: A temporary fire pump was deployed for the duration of the project to address fire protection requirements in this remote location. Due to the site’s limited water infrastructure, a dedicated water tank was required to supply the pump. RFP installed and commissioned the system promptly, ensuring full fire protection was in place and preventing any delays to the project schedule caused by the lack of a compliant fire protection system.
